David Eugene Tolson
HARTSVILLE — It is with sad heart that we announce the death of David Eugene Tolson, age 71. David went to his Heavenly Home on February 25, 2026 while at his residence.
A graveside service was held Friday February 27 at 2:00 pm at the Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home.
David was born on November 8, 1954, in Hartsville, South Carolina, to Carol Eugene and Fronnie Gainey Tolson. Throughout his life, David was known for his strong work ethic, steady leadership, and unwavering dedication to his family and career. He worked tirelessly for many years at Crown Cork & Seal as a production supervisor, where he directed facility operations, personnel, and machinery to optimize safety, quality, and production efficiency. His commitment and dependability earned the respect of those who worked alongside him. Outside of work, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
David was a devoted husband to Nancy Winburn Tolson and a loving father to his two children, Amy (Brad) Jordan and Michael (Lisa) Tolson. He was a proud grandfather to Kasey (Cecilia) Jordan, Corey Jordan, and Macy Tolson, whose lives brought him immense joy and pride. He was also a cherished brother to Johnny (Sheila) Tolson and Eydie (Eldridge) Norton and a loving uncle to his nieces and nephews.
David’s greatest joy came from being with his family, where his presence was the heart of every gathering. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, his steady guidance, and the deep love he shared with those closest to him.
David’s life was a blessing, his memory a treasure. He is loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.

CHERAW — Dawn L. Webb,67, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Inez Wright.
Dawn was known for passion for gardening and took great pride in her yard. She enjoyed cooking, trying new recipes and preserving meals. For fun she was learning to sew and would occupy her time with games on her tablet. After her husband’s passing, Dawn showed her passion to help others and dedicated herself to her role at the office for the againg. Above all Dawn cherished her time with her friends and family, along with her cats.
She was preceded in death by her parents, listed above and her loving husband, David Lee Webb.
At the request of Mrs. Webb, no formal service will be held at this time.
Dawn leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son Francis Held and wife Charity; a brother, Louise Wright; grandchildren Caleb and Zachary.
Kiser Funeral Home has been entrusted to serve the Webb family in their time of grief.
