Pageland Police investigates road rage shooting incident

 

Pageland police are investigating a road‑rage incident that ended in a shooting Thursday afternoon (Jan. 15) on South Van Lingle Mungo Boulevard.
According to a press release posted on the Pageland Police Department’s Facebook page, officers responded to the 200 block of South Van Lingle Mungo Boulevard at 3:15 p.m. in reference to a shooting incident that stemmed from a reported road rage encounter.
The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital.
Police officials said the investigation remained active and ongoing.
At this time, the Pageland Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the driver of the tractor-trailer and has released photos.
Police officials said the driver is described as an older white male with facial hair and glasses.
Due to the active nature of the investigation, no further details will be released at this time.
